We can use your help. Over the years we've lost track of some classmates, and some of our classmates have gone on to their reward. If you have information on those who have died, please contact us and let us know what you know: how they died, when they died, and perhaps where they were when they died. We will post this information for the benefit of all of the Class of 1961.

November 4, 2011--November's luncheon will be at Olive Garden, Wed. Nov. 9, 11:30am. Please respond (banksrh@bellsouth.net) only if you plan on coming.

October 7, 2011 -- Class of 1961 October Luncheon

Luncheon is always on the 2nd. Wednesday of the month. This month's luncheon will be Wednesday October 12th, 11:30am - Chow Time Buffet. Time to catch up after the great 50th. reunion we had.

As usual please let me know no later than Monday Oct. 10 mid -afternoon so I can make reservations.

August 24, 2011 -- The Schedule of Events for our reunion are as follows:

Friday, Sept. 9 -- Poolside at 6:30 p.m.-- light hors d'oeuvres

Saturday, Sept. 10 -- Ballroom at 7:00 p.m. -- heavy hors d'oeuvres -- DJ playing favorite music (the name of the ballroom is unknown, but signs will be posted)

Sunday, Sept. 11 -- Memorial Service (gathering place TBA -- if you plan on going to this, please let Barbara at breesey45@yahoo.com (or Dianne at saunder1@aol.com) know as soon as possible (so we can make arrangements for a large enough facility)

Attire for the weekend will be casual.

At the reunion, you will receive information on ordering the memory book and a DVD of the reunion; you will also receive a booklet of names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of your classmate plus a DVD of past reunions.

August 5, 2011--Barbara (Thames) Reese is working on a 7-day cruise in January or February 2012 (St. Maarten, St. Thomas, etc.) that will likely leave from Orlando (Princess or Carnival)--cost for an inside room will be around $600.00. Those who are interested can contact Barbara Reese <breesey45@yahoo.com.

April 5, 2011--Becky Brown Saunders is now compiling photos, artwork, athletic photos, prom/ dances photos, etc. for inclusion in the 50th Reunion Book of Memories. Becky's plan is to have a couple of books done for exhibit /advertising prior to the reunion, and have anyone that wants a copy to order directly from the publisher. Please help with this project. If you have any of these items that you would like included, you can either burn them to a CD, send a hard copy or file via e-mail to Becky Brown Saunders at 2515 Frankford Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405 or e-mail to saunder1@aol.com.

January 17, 2011--Here's the most recent update on the reunion (from an e-mail from Diane Pringle Cowell:

It is hard to realize that 50 years have passed since we graduated from Bay High School. We don’t know about you, but we wonder where it went and why it went by so fast. Regardless, your reunion committee is again hard at work planning for our 50th Reunion. So, please put this date on your calendar - SEPTEMBER 9-11, 2011.

The festivities will be held at Edgewater Beach Resort. Definite times have not been set yet. We will send you all of the particulars as soon as everything has been finalized. However, some pertinent information that you will need is:

Beach front units start at $139 for a one bedroom. There are 2 bedrooms units for $179 or golf front villas for $99 (which is an efficiency). Reservations can be made by calling 800-874-8686. Please refer to Bay High School ‘61 Reunion or the booking number 2199. By doing that, we are hoping they will put us together in one location.

The cost of the reunion, which includes Friday night and Saturday night, will be $150 per couple or $75 single.
